About Me

Rachel Schmid-James is a Sophomore at The University of Maryland (Roll Terps!) double majoring in Art History and Classics. She loves reading, music, tea, and the television show Married at First Sight among other things. She plans to use her degree to pursue field work and arts education, in order to help make all art forms more accessible to everyone.

As a College Park Scholar, Rachel plans to take advantage of the many opportunities to meet with all different kinds of artists in order to broaden her horizons and learn a variety of new skills. She also looks forward to collaborating with her fellow Scholars in order to accomplish incredible things and build positive relationships while doing it.
